Well, just not too long ago, my camera broke.
That’s right, I started having trouble with the shutter timer when the speed was set at either 1 second or 1/2 of a second. The timer problem ruined one of my shots when I was taking a shot of a nice spiral ramp-thing not far from the the beautifully arched Carlaw underpass. God knows how much the costs are going to ring up by the time repairs are done. Nothing too severe, except that it won’t run properly. Back to the old FM2 for now.
On top of that, I have a second Yashica MAT that’s been in need of repair for months. Long story but pieces are missing and the viewfinder’s been messed up from tinkering with it, so now I need that fixed.
On top of that, a couple of my super 8 cameras aren’t working properly, namely the film counter and the aperture.
Finally, the hunk of junk I’m writing on’s four-years-old, so I’m going to have to get it either repaired or replaced, and the latter costs over 2K (with a few customizations, of course).
Add that on top of the expenses of getting the 65 rolls of film developed and scanned by the lab! It’s going to be a long month!
